Terry Cope based his Star Wars tribute on the SNES Super Star Wars game.

Background[edit]

A platform game inspired by the Super Star Wars series of games. The prototype had you navigating R2D2 through the desert equipped with the electrical charge seen in the movies. Terry had this to say about the project:

"I believe my intention was to make an NES style Return of the Jedi game as the trilogy was never completed on that console. I know that I did a fair amount of work on the first level, which had R2D2 making his way through the desert to Jabba the Hutt's palace with nothing but his little shocking ar, to deal with jawas and various fauna. I believe I actually adapted the animations from the instruction manual for the Super Star Wars game."

— Todd Cope, YouTube comment, 2010
