FULL ENTRY COMING SOON!
Not to be mistaken for Alan Caudel's Adam's B-Day 3: The Saga Continues.
AKA Adam 93.
A year on, another birthday, and now a firm grounding in the tools at hand; the second Adam's Birthday game is a huge leap over the first one, if just as rapid a project.
As with Adam's Birthday Game, Continues uses just a few resources: a single character, wandering a single map, built of just a few types of background tiles and populated with three consciously slapdash monster types.
Splashes of grand, strangely aimed ambition.
Warping around a single map. Monsters are just sort of there. Design mostly focuses on background animations and properties (gravity, change on contact, etc.).
Have to find the sword. Lots of hidden traps/warps, in that NES way. Guillotine Gallery.
Pretty complex, expressive animation.
Good lord, that in-game ending animation...
The "smash" business.
Also oddball humor.
