A-J Games Presents

A prolific Maine-based outfit that collaborated with several other Game-Maker authors and contributed to Recreational Software Designs' release of the Game-Maker 3.0 CD-ROM. The studio name comes from the developer's first game, A-J's Quest -- which was in turn based on a comic strip eponymously named after its protagonist, Andrew-Jonathan.

In 2011, A-J Games was folded into the publisher Jeneric Rules as a legacy label and officially retired from ongoing use.

Distribution

Beyond the CD-ROM, sample versions of Game-Maker 3.0, released for download, include as their sole gameware four of A-J Games' demo contributions: Peach, Crullo, Zark, and Patchwork Heart. RSD also produced a demo game incorporating an interactive slideshow (and the bulk of Sheldon Chase's Woman Warrior and the Outer Limits) into the first level of Peach the Lobster. An earlier demo contains A-J's Quest, version 2.0.
