Writer, illustrator, and software designer Joshua Eric Turcotte originates from the Bangor area of Maine. After discovering Game-Maker either in PCM or through "some other demo/half-game made using game-maker" on a shovelware CD, Turcotte began to laboriously and methodically plot out his major opus, Orb: The Derelict Planet. Soon after its completion he suffered massive data loss and thought his work lost to time.
At some point he also began to map a sequel to Orb and an unrelated puzzle game by the name of Cube. More recently Turcotte has been embroiled in an alternate world of fiction, covering both prose and videogames.
