Moonchild is not so much a game as a story pitch. It consists of a brief animated introduction and a title screen, and that's it. No maps, no characters, nothing to play or do.

Aside from high score, config, and executable files, Moonchild consists entirely of six files: one music file, three Autodesk animations, a .GIF file, and the actual .GAM file that ties these elements together.

Whether or not more was planned for Moonchild, or if the game more substantially exists in another form, is uncertain.

Also unclear is the relationship between Moonchild and Eclypse, both of which have similarly cosmological titles and storylines, and both of which exist as little more than an animated introduction.

Story[edit]

For hundreds of years, Legend has told of a Great Power which lies beyond the world we know. A power so pure, its light would bring eternal peace to all living things.
