GAME-MAKER SHAREWARE AND FREEWARE DISK 1
This disk contains Shareware and Freeware that we've found to be of interest to GAME-MAKER users. Most of the files have been compressed into .ZIP files. If you copy PKG204G.EXE to a subdirectory and run it, it will self expand into the PKWARE set of files, including the PKUNZIP.EXE file. Run PKUNZIP to unzip other .ZIP files on the shareware disk.
Please respect the authors of the Shareware. If you find their software useful, please register and compensate the authors for their products. Thanks.
Freeware is, as it sounds, free. Sometimes the author of a Freeware product does request limiting the use of the product, such as asking you not to include it inside of other products.

CONTENTS[edit]
1. Subdirectory GWS[edit]
This subdirectory contains the DOS version and the Windows version of the Graphic Workshop Shareware product. Graphic Workshop is very useful for displaying graphic files. It also offers many image manipulation tools. The Windows version and the DOS version offer slightly different capabilities.
2. Subdirectory GAMES[edit]
This subdirectory contains GAME-MAKER games created by GAME-MAKER users. Recreational Software Designs encourages its customers to submit games that they have created, either Freeware, Shareware or other, for similar distribution.
VIKI by Ron Marie Services[edit]
Shareware. I've played the registered game, and as claimed, the extra two levels are more complex and challenging. Each level has different graphics.
AJBEAR by [Azurelore Korrigan][edit]
Shareware. An interesting and challenging game, with five main levels and five hard to find bonus levels. A-J Bear has an excellent and fun character.
SLINKER by David Wallin[edit]
Slinker has a very interesting character movement and a unique weapon.
3. Subdirectory UTILS[edit]
This subdirectory contains utilities useful to GAME-MAKER users. Included on this disk are:
UNXFER.BAT[edit]
When GAME-MAKER 'transfers' a game, all the Gameware files associated with the game are moved from the development environment subdirectories to one subdirectory on a diskette or hard drive. The UNXFER freeware utility will move all the files in a 'transferred' game back to the GAME-MAKER development environment subdirectories. It is very useful in bring someone's game into your GAME-MAKER development environment so that you can enhance the game or use some of the game elements within your own game.
WARNING: If the game you are 'untransferring' contains files of the same name as already exist in your GAME-MAKER environment, the files being untransferred will replace the existing files. Run this utility for information about how to deal with this. You may safely run UNXFER.BAT by typing 'UNXFER', as the utility will then just display information about it's use.
GAME-MAKER Graphics Tools[edit]
These tools can save you time when you want to incorporate graphic images into GAME-MAKER maps.
4. Subdirectory COMPRESS[edit]
This subdirectory contains two compression/decompression programs:
PKWARE[edit]
Shareware.
LHA[edit]
The LH Archive freeware. See the distribution restrictions in the manual.
