ALL INFORMATION IS TENTATIVE
Man Game RPG is the second, possibly most significant entry in Alan Caudel's Man Game series. This one introduces several new mechanisms, including a Contra-style exploding bridge, Mario-style pipe access, and Final Fantasy-style active time RPG battles. There's quite a lot to pore over, here.
In addition, the palette is deliberately constrained to NES specifications.
Alan Caudel:
- Also, I wanted to point something out. You start off with a weak "Fire power". If you try to attack the "Strong monster" first, you won't be able to defeat it. You first have to defeat the "Weak monster" and then you get a stronger "Ice power", which can defeat the "Strong monster"
A discussion of the precise techniques at play will follow.
